No luck for mushrooms but a beautiful day. Cisneros Park is wide expanses surrounded by evergreen & aspen forests.
Great drive on a beautiful fall day. Camping spots for those towing RVs should all be accessed from the Hopewell Lake end, as the bottom road is narrow with overhanging trees.
If you blink you might miss Twin Lakes, not the lakes but the tiny town. This is the General Store.
Not a business or major site, but this old tractor against this backdrop demanded that I turn around and take a photo.
Private lake resort that is really beautiful. I’ve never done anything except drive by, so I don’t know what they have available or services.
Cottonwood Lake is quite popular, as it’s in a beautiful setting. Fishing is good, and there’s some private access as well as public.

I really liked this spot, as the colors were beautiful and you could see all the way down to the river.
